ITG introduces the latest recruit

Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with new technology and consumer products. I remember surfing the web in the early 90′s being disappointed because of the lack of social services, I remember ICQ being the best means of communication. Now, 20 years later, I can surf the web on my smartphone and connect with people from all over the world on services such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, while watching last night’s episode of Game of Thrones at the same time. Information Technology sure has come a long way since the 90’s.

My name is Alexander Biledt and I am the new Digital Strategist here at ITG Digital. I grew up in the small town of Ludvika and later moved to Stockholm to persuade my M.Sc. in engineering degree at the Royal Institute of Technology (also known as KTH). After graduation I started working with the development of OTT services (Over-the-Top, i.e. Video on Demand) and consumer products in the TV/broadcast industry. An industry that is undergoing a lot of changes that has open up a new market for services such as HBO, Netflix, TV4 Play etc. to bypass the operators and engage directly with the consumers.

What I learned from working in an industry undergoing major changes is that I want to work with products that change/revolutionize consumer behaviors and trends, whether it is a website, service or a physical product. Technology has brought us a long way since the 90’s, but I’m sure more exciting times wait ahead.
